    This video was kinda useless to casual DIY'rs. the easier, cheaper way to test for a bad wheel speed sensor is this: 1. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor connector. 2. Find the two-pin connector that leads to the sensor. Connect it to a multimeter. 3. Set the multimeter to ohms. 4. Measure the resistance. It should be minimal. If the meter indicates an open condition (very high resistance) or a short, the sensor is bad. 5. Next, if the sensor passes the resistance test, set the meter to measure AC voltage. 6. Have a buddy manually spin the wheel hub. Have them do it as fast as possible. Watch the voltage on the multimeter. If it changes in accordance with the speed at which the wheel hub is rotating, the sensor should be fine. If there’s no change, or no voltage read, then the sensor is likely bad. (The amount of voltage produced is very minimal, and completely safe.) 7. Repeat the above steps as needed with the rest of the wheel speed sensors on your car.

    Question ; if the blower motor is faulty where there is no action on any speed setting (and you've ruled out the resistor via a test light), would the a/c clutch NOT operate? Because that is what is happening on my car....I would expect the a/c clutch to cycle on/off even if the inside blower is bad. BUT it may be that the ECU senses the open circuit of the fan motor and does not turn on the a/c clutch. Thoughts?

    Can I get some help here. I watched at least 5 videos on this n none of them finished up timing belt setup with turning the crank 2 revolutions. The instructions that came with Aisin kit 026 says to do that. So I did what it said n after 2 revs it back to TDC, the cam belt lines were off by a mile. It says everything should line up again, but it didn't. Am I somehow off timing now? What can I do. To add, I did do another 6 turns to get the cam lines to line up to marks again, well closer anyway. Only 1/2" off now. What do I do? It seemed fine turning the crank I felt compression resistance.

    • @ValleyMobileAutomotive
      @ValleyMobileAutomotive 3 дня назад

      @@tomgaffney740 Don't worry about the belt lines. They won't line up after you turn the crank twice. What you want to line up are the marks on the gears. The cams should be at 12 o'clock and the crank should match the mark on the engine. Time index 20:49. Let me know if that helps 👍

    But what you’re not telling people is. That you cannot with the engine idle and idle and idle for many hours, that’s the problem of low oil pressure Because of idling too damn long at times and your oil pressure also drops down to 28 psi when idling trust me I’ve done all the studies on this engine and another thing is not breaking it in properly that can cause a problem you sit here and put your foot through the floor. Does it help the situation at all either you have to break these engines in slowly meaning is due to speed limit on the highway and take your time until it passes 90,000 miles I have a 2017 jeep Wrangler unlimited with the same engine and I’m already passed $113,000 and I still don’t have that problem so it comes from not breaking in your engine properly and bending the engine idle for long period of time hotter under low oil pressure at 28 PSI

    Going to replace mine soon along with sway bar links and an alignment hoping it fixes my crooked steering wheel and crooked front wheels

    Just curious… what was the underlining symptom that lead to this replacement?

    • @ValleyMobileAutomotive
      @ValleyMobileAutomotive 5 дней назад

      Honestly I can't remember on this particular vehicle but a main symptom of worn out bushings is a clunking noise on acceleration or braking. A clunk can come from other components as well so make sure you check all the suspension where the noise is coming from. It is possible to have a torn/bad bushing without noise. If that's the case then you would still need to replace it but you would only see the tear visually.

    I was wrong to commit to this job by purchasing the the six replacement spark plugs and six replacement ignition coils. This is too much work. This is not at all like changing the spark plugs and ignition coils on my daughter's 2002 Camry LE 2.4 liter four cylinder engine. I'm going to pay my independent mechanic to do this job. He is very cooperative and he will use the Toyota Spark Plugs and Denso Ignition coils that I have already purchased. Thanks for the walk through. You are obviously a skilled mechanic and I can see that this job is for a skilled mechanic.

    This was the best in-depth diagnosis I've seen yet. This was extremely helpful for me. This same problem occurred after I repaired the connector and installed an after market cam sensor. Big mistake. Do not use aftermarket china parts. The aftermarket part was the only one available at the time that I needed one.

    So I neglected to mark the old belt - now the crankshaft timing mark is a little off when the camshaft marks line up after 6 revolutions (which they do). Am I in for taking the belt off and redoing it?

      @@GeraldTilma Silly question but are you turning the engine by hand with the belt tensioner deployed or does it still have the lock pin in it?

    • @GeraldTilma
      @GeraldTilma 5 дней назад

      @@ValleyMobileAutomotive I installed the new tensioner, removed the pin and then hand-cranked the crankshaft. I'm resolved at the moment to removing the tensioner, rerouting the belt (more taut on the right side as I go this time) and repeating the manual cranking test. My Aisin kit says as much: ensure marks are aligned, but if not "repeat installation and tensioning procedure." 🤷
